We’re lucky to have our headquarters located two blocks from the beach, so it’s no coincidence that beach activities are a huge part of our culture. Currently, we have a beach volleyball league, surf club, and have recently included beach yoga and meditation in our Wellness program. The Pacific Ocean has also been the backdrop for some of our volunteer events including beach cleanups with Heal the Bay and our day spent volunteering with Metro Charter Elementary for a beach day and visit to the aquarium (LINK).
To celebrate the success and hard work of the team, we kicked off our first inaugural PatientPop beach day. We took a half day off and spent the afternoon together at the beach. It was a great opportunity to spend time together as a team, and nothing is better than an afternoon of fun in the sun.
We had a ton of activities and games, including cornhole, giant jenga, frisbees, smashball and tug of war. We organized a beach volleyball tournament where teams competed for the first in line at Thursday lunch (one of the most coveted prizes we give away). And they weren’t the only winners at Beach Day…we also raffled off a GoPro Hero at the end of the day.
A few of team members’ kids were able to join us and they enjoyed playing with beach toys, making sandcastles, and even flying a kite for the first time!
