Hawaiian Fridays

What started off as a couple guys in sales rockin’ their Hawaiian Tees has grown to a cross-team collaborative movement. PatientPop employees have made Hawaiian shirts a staple fashion piece every Friday.

What started off as a couple guys in sales rockin’ their Hawaiian Tees has grown to a cross team collaborative movement known as — Hawaiian Fridays. Whether it’s dad’s old yacht club polo, a classic Tommy Bahama, or a thrift store find, PatientPop employees have made Hawaiian shirts a staple fashion piece every Friday.

“Hawaiian Fridays all started in our SDR pickle pit! Keeps the spirit light and the Aloha spirit alive”

Yoojin Park, Sales Development Representative

Guys and girls throughout the office have been encouraging each other to embrace the vintage look resulting in PatientPopppers attempting to out-do their follow colleagues (however the office Terrier sweetheart, Bella, stole the show with her Hawaiian ensemble this past Friday…see above photo for evidence).

Being in the heart of Silicon Beach and just 500 feet from the ocean, it’s no wonder this tropical trend has taken off. There was even a recent raffle for a trip for two to Hawaii! This Friday fashion choice has also spurred whispers of what next season’s theme will be…90s, college tees, or stripes vs spots.

For now, PatientPop will be sticking to surfboards and Hibiscus flowers every Friday as more and more continue to laugh and bond over their fondness for the radical retro look. But for our Jr. IT Specialist, Josh Hokama, “Hawaiian Fridays are just an excuse to wear my Hawaiian shirts.”
