New Google feature allows practices that use Google My Business to share current news and highlights, and connect with patients directly from their Google listing.
Just over a month ago, we discussed some of the new features being offered through Google My Business. One of those, Posts on Google, is a new way for doctors to share relevant, fresh content with people who are searching for a healthcare provider. Practices can publish events, product promotions, and highlight services directly to Google Search and Maps using Google Posts.
On Wednesday, October 11th, Google released a new way for third-party platforms to create Posts on Google. And on Thursday, October 12th, PatientPop’s platform integrated with Google and created posts for thousands of locations.
Now, PatientPop’s platform will be adding weekly posts to every practice with relevant content and beautiful images enticing prospective patients to make an appointment.
We’re the first healthcare technology provider to bring Google Posts to its customers, so practices that use PatientPop have a competitive advantage over those that don’t.
Also, even though each post expires weekly, PatientPop automatically refreshes them for our customers, so their locations will always be standout in search.
Why is posting to Google every week so important? In short, this enhanced format on a Google listing allows increases your digital footprint on Google, creating more attractive prospective patients who are searching for a doctor to hear directly from the practice. And, especially on mobile, it also expands the doctor’s visibility on the search results page, giving more opportunity for prospective patients to engage with you.
If you haven’t given PatientPop access to your Google My Business yet, contact your Customer Success Manager or PatientPop support to set this up and take advantage of Google Posts.
If you already blog and use Google Posts, our Google Posts won’t replace those, but will be added to those Posts for extra conversion benefits
