PatientPop takes employee perks to another level with its wellness program – sports leagues, weekly wellness classes, onsite massages, and deals with local fitness studios.
For most, employee benefits stop after the classic array of health insurances. As a millennial myself, I’m allowed to say that we are needy when it comes to what we want in a benefits package. We are attracted to offices with the coolest culture, the latest tech, and the benefits that go beyond healthcare and retirement savings.
Last year, Harvard Business Review wrote an article about two separate studies on millennials in the workforce. The studies revealed that young job-hunters “shop” for jobs that support their personal needs and goals, such as wellness.
As a young tech company, PatientPop is full of millennials… to be exact, 86% of employees are under 35 years old. Which means that PatientPop programs are tailored to support these personal needs and goals of our millennial demographic. Luckily for us, PatientPop has wellness perks that include a wide array of healthy activities both in office and out.
We have seasonal sports leagues including basketball, beach volleyball, and softball. These have been a great way for us to get out together after work and compete with other Santa Monica startups.
Onsite Fitness Classes
Once a week we host onsite classes for employees including meditation, yoga, pilates, bootcamp, and more! I love that I can unwind from a busy workday and get in a good sweat without even leaving the office.
External Fitness Events
PatientPop has wellness partnerships with local fitness studios that our employees love. Our partnerships with places like Equinox, SoulCycle, CycleHouse, and Burn Fitness, provide membership discounts for all employees!
The wellness perks at PatientPop are just one example of how our company supports us as individuals and care about our life outside of the office. Meditation at lunch-time because they know we sometimes need the break. Conditioning bootcamp after work because they understand our jobs are not always easy.
