PatientPop Launches 2nd Annual Online Reputation Management Survey for Healthcare Providers

SANTA MONICA, Calif. — PatientPop, the leader in practice growth technology for healthcare providers, is conducting its second annual nationwide survey of medical and dental professionals to understand how they manage their online reputation. Findings from the PatientPop survey will shed light on the industry’s evolving challenges, practices, and opportunities surrounding reputation management, such as oversight of patient feedback, online reviews, and practice website testimonials.

In the 2018 provider survey report, more than three-quarters of healthcare providers (80.3 percent) said maintaining a strong online reputation is extremely or very important. However, the majority expressed they did not know or weren’t sure how to positively affect their own practice reputation.

In addition, a 2019 patient survey conducted by PatientPop revealed that patient reviews are the most critical resource when choosing a healthcare provider, with seven of 10 respondents saying they place high importance on a provider’s online reviews.

“Online reviews have a direct and lasting impact on how patients find and choose healthcare providers,” says Joel Headley, PatientPop director of local SEO and marketing. “Since patients are now even more empowered and engaged, providers must find better ways to manage their reputation, or they won’t likely be a top choice in their market. With insights from this latest survey of providers, PatientPop will continue to track and share the most pressing issues and trends in online reputation management.”

The survey is open to qualified physicians, dentists, practice managers, office managers, and other professionals who have reputation management responsibilities within a healthcare practice.
